ABOUT OPERATION WARM

Operation Warm is a national nonprofit that manufactures brand-new, high-quality coats and shoes for children in need. We partner with compassionate individuals, community organizations, and corporations across North America to connect underserved children to the community resources they need to thrive. Over the last 23 years, Operation Warm and our partners have offered the gifts of brand-new coats and shoes as a bridge for families in need to access everything from flu shots to new books.

IMPACT

This position supports the Volunteer Engagement and Implementation Teams. The purpose of the Community Impact Volunteer (CIV) is to ensure the success of Operation Warm coat and shoe gifting events through flawless execution and delivery of a meaningful experience for both the beneficiary and sponsoring organizations. The Community Impact Volunteer will also serve as a community liaison for future partnerships and events in the local area. (Multiple events around LA throughout the year)

VOLUNTEER ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Day of event:

Ensure all coat and shoe stations are set up
Instruct day-of-event volunteers on responsibilities
Ongoing event execution including photos and capture of documentation
Recruitment of prospective Community Impact Volunteers
Ongoing Operation Warm representation:
Possible short presentations to local partnership groups
Research into community needs and requests
Branding and educational representative for Operation Warm

REQUIREMENTS

18 and over
Punctuality and professionalism
Available for occasional local events 7:30 am-12:00 pm
