We need help in the front of house on concert days with taking tickets and handing out programs. All volunteers are welcome to stay and enjoy this children's concert for free.

Mission Statement

The Delaware County Symphony is a community orchestra established in 1971 that is dedicated to providing outstanding musical experiences for residents of the Delaware County, Pennsylvania area.

Description

The Delaware County Symphony is made up of volunteer musicians and presents 4 symphony concerts each season, usually with a guest soloist. The last concert of each season features the winner of our Youth Concerto Competition. DCS also presents 3 chamber concerts each season with performances by individuals and small groups from the symphony with guest performers. DCS reaches out to children with DCS Symphony Explorers, a FREE interactive opportunity for children to learn more about the symphony and specific instruments. DCS Symphony Explorers is 4 times a year, taking place on the Monday evening before each symphony concert. DCS also hosts Meet the Music, a pre-concert lecture open to concert goers.
