HOPE Counselor (Week-long overnight camp counselor)
ORGANIZATION: Safe Futures
Please visit the new page to apply.
Camp HOPE America is a values-based, 'challenge by choice" program with a focus on praising children for observed and developing character traits. HOPE Counselors partner with another camp counselor to care for and support campers during a week of overnight camp. HOPE Counselors are important cheerleaders for campers and your commitment and leadership can make a genuine difference in their lives.
HOPE counselors should be between 18 and 24 years old, must pass background checks, complete a 20-hour domestic violence counselor certification, and participate in training on trauma-informed care in a camp setting. Students may be able to structure their time as a HOPE Coach as an internship to earn college credit.
