Volunteer Agile Coach (Remote)

- As a coach, you are required to contribute a minimum of 05 hours per week.
- Must be willing to attend virtual meetings in EST Time zone and be responsive to emails within 24 hours.
- STW(tm) will provide a "letter of recommendation" to interns, students & professionals who are able to showcase outstanding performance for school/university credit and for professional references.
About Us
STW(tm) is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization whose mission is to conduct water research to identify and remove harmful contaminants in water, and to raise public awareness about water contamination and its health impacts. STW(tm) also offers educational programs to excite young minds about water science.
Our volunteers are diverse professionals from all over the world bringing their knowledge and experience to STW(tm) because we care deeply about our communities and water resources. We learn and collaborate in an open and empowering work environment to find long-term solutions to the water contamination problem. Our vision is "Contamination free, healthy water for all"
The Role:
Agile Coach reports directly to the President of Save the Water. You will work closely with groups, coaching them to improve their ability to adopt best practices, system, and processes for the organization.
What you will be responsible for:
- Work with project teams to analyze current systems and processes, as well as design a strategy for adopting agile best practices.
- Guide teams in how to stay on track with agile techniques.
- Conduct ongoing workshops for teams.
- Update any changes of Jira/Confluence process across the teams.
- Assist the President to promote a culture of continuous improvement, setting goals and milestones and assigning responsibility.
- Champion the use of metrics.
- Assist the President to undertake daily follow-ups with individual team members to ensure projects are on track and goals are being met.
- Hold stand-up meetings with cross-functional teams to review project status.
- Support the President in determining resource allocations to maintain agile practices and ensure smooth project delivery.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be adaptable and thrive in challenging situations.
Preferred skills and qualifications:
- Certification as agile coach
