Swahili Day showcases Lexington's African and Swahili cultural diversity. Enjoy performances, cultural music, arts and crafts, vendor stalls, and more throughout the day.
Volunteers are the face of the Swahili Day and play an important role in not only making the festival possible but also engaging and interacting with the general public.
We are recruiting volunteers (18yo+) to work 4-hour shifts (9a-1p, 12p-4p, or 3p-7p). Volunteer jobs include registration, greeting, market stall assistant, general event hand, children's activity instructor, stage/sound assistant, info booth attendant, and more!
Each volunteer will be provided a meal and an event t-shirt.
