25 Students chose to spend part of the summer taking a career readiness class offered by the Boys & Girls Club of the Peninsula and Sequoia Union High School District. We are planning a culminating event, to include:

  • Campus Tours
  • Mock Interviews
  • A celebration with Completion Certificates

The Mock Interview is where we need your help! Students will have the opportunity to meet with 2 professionals, ~25 minutes each, to go through mock interview questions and review their resumes.

Watch students visibly improve and sit up with confidence as they proceed through the interviews! It's an easy and fun volunteer opportunity for anyone that has interviewed for a job before! In addition, we'd love for you to bring a spouse, colleague, or friend if they'd like to volunteer.

The Sequoia Union High School District is a public high school system with four comprehensive high schools and one continuation high school. The students are from communities in San Mateo County as far north as Belmont, and south to East Palo Alto. Students are engaged in a variety of programs at all the high schools including: International Baccalaureate, Workability Program, Avid, Academy, Advanced Placement programs, and all standard college prep programs.
