The Patient Experience Volunteer provides support and assistance to patients and their families throughout their stay on an inpatient unit. Under the direction of the Patient Experience Specialists, Nurse Manager, or Charge Nurse, the volunteer offers a warm welcome, orients the patient to their room, offers family members information resources for their loved one and provides services such as warm blankets, delivering flowers, helping with meal times or just talking to them.
