Home fires claim seven lives every day, but you can help change that. Join the American Red Cross during a local Sound the Alarm event. No prior experience is necessary; we'll provide all the training you'll need. This event will be held rain or shine, Saturday, April 22, with smoke alarm installs focused in the areas of East Buffalo.
There are three essential roles for this event:
Installer: Be comfortable climbing a small ladder and using a drill. We will provide drills and ladders.
Educator: Sit down with the residents and go over creating a Home Fire Escape Plan and a Home Fire Safety Checklist.
Documenter: Complete the Service Acknowledgment form with the household resident completely and assist the installer.
