Who We Are: Strategies Enrichment and Learning, S.E.A.L. is a nonprofit organization based in New York. We provide therapeutic programs to children. Our programs are open to all children, but especially benefit those with learning disabilities and ADHD.

Volunteer Job Description: We are seeking experienced, fun, and creative individuals to conduct on-line tutoring sessions. We are looking for English and Math Tutors. You will be teaching a small group of children. You may teach lessons, or help with homework assignments. We provide the curriculum.

Requirements:

• MUST be able to commit to 8-9 months of volunteer work/volunteer program
• Must be a vailable to volunteer for 3-4 hours per week (this may include extra training, if needed)
• a ZOOM account and internet connection
• Comfortable teaching a small class of students (You will receive training on this)
• Participate in staff trainings

Where (location): virtual/on-line
Schedule (depends on volunteer's availability): Monday-Friday--anytime during afternoon or evening hours. Saturday and Sunday--anytime during the day

Qualifications:

• Experience tutoring children (this can be formal or informal experience, such as tutoring peers at school or your siblings)
• Strong Skills in the subject you are tutoring in. (You will be required to demonstrate what you know)
• Experience with ZOOM and using Zoom features
• Professional, responsible, and mature at work
• Basic computer skills in powerpoint, word, etc.

Volunteer Perks/Benefits:

• Excellent intensive training for those who are interested in working in education, community service, or social work.
• After completing the volunteer work (to our satisfaction), we may be able to provide school credit, volunteer hours, or a letter of recommendation.
