Help complete fulfillment of our Virtual Dementia Tour Toolkits by assembling folders, pulling various items from stock, and neatly packaging order items in preparation for shipping.

An average shift will last 3 hours. Volunteer is needed from 11 am - 2pm Mondays and/or Thursdays.
Must be able to lift, bend, reach, push and pull, and lift up to 5 lbs. Basic computer skills are a plus.

Second Wind Dreams is a non-profit organization with the mission to change the perception of aging. One of the ways we do this is through our Virtual Dementia Tour (VDT), which allows anyone to experience the physical and cognitive challenge of dementia. This is supported through a number of physical tools that help create the virtual experience.

The mission of Second Wind Dreams is to change the perception of aging through the fulfillment of elders' dreams and the offering of innovative education opportunities to caregivers and communities.

Description

Second Wind Dreams fulfills dreams for those living in elder care communities such as nursing homes and assisted livings. Many of these elders have no outside support and the dreams proviide hope and happiness. Dreamweavers are needed to help fulfill individual dreams and also create special relationships with elders. In addition, Second Wind Dreams educates and heightens sensitivity about dementia with the Virtual Dementia Tour created by P.K. Beville, Founder of Second Wind Dreams.
