As a community-based non-profit organization, AASCSC has a variety of areas in which there is a need for volunteer support. While we welcome all interested individuals to apply, some areas where there is a special need for volunteers include:
- Healthcare Specialty: Skills, experience, and/or interests related to healthcare, mental health, public health, community health, or social work (including those with related degrees, certifications, or licenses such as MD, RN, LCSW, etc.)
- Visual Skills: Photography or photo editing / videography or video editing / graphic design
- Social Media Skills: Social media marketing / management
- Facilities Skills: Facilities maintenance, improvement, or management (including custodial, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and interior design)
- Chinese-Culture Education: Skills/experience to teach Chinese-culture related activities (such as Chinese calligraphy, dance, drawing/painting, music, and tai chi)

AASCSC is a 501c3 entrusted to serve and protect our most vulnerable and underserved as they progress through different stages of life. Founded in 1989, AASCSC believes in an intergenerational approach to building a stronger, healthier community through direct services, advocacy, and capacity building. At the heart of these efforts is imperative to ensure health equity within our community.
Description
The Asian American Senior Citizens Service Center (AASCSC) is a non-profit organization, based in Orange County, CA (our center is in Santa Ana), that serves all age groups and all community members through an inter-generational approach with a focus on building a stronger and healthier community. AASCSC works closely with other non-profits and government agencies to promote community health, provide direct health services, and to continuously advocate for our community. At the heart of these efforts is our underlying goal to strive for and ensure health equity within our community.
