Washington Autism Alliance (WAA) is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and other intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families. We provide essential support services, including:

  • Family Support: Offering guidance, resources, and community connections to help families navigate challenges and access appropriate services.

  • Training and Education: Providing training and education to professionals and families on evidence-based practices, early intervention, and other relevant topics.

  • Advocacy: Advocating for policies and systems that support individuals with ASD/IDD and their families, including increased access to healthcare, education, and community services.

Join our Procurement Committee and make a real difference! Volunteer to support WAA's Gala (Night Out for Autism) and help us raise funds for essential programs and services for individuals with autism and their families.

  • They must be self-starters and problem solvers who have proficient communication both internally and externally.

  • Autonomously create and utilize a 'sales sequence’ to manage following up with potential donors, guests, and sponsors.

  • Helping with procurement packet mailings, invitation mailings, and other gala-related tasks.

  • Helping register guests for the event.

  • Respond to vendor queries, send out requested documents and direct them to the relevant personnel from the organization.

  • Must be comfortable being flexible in day-to-day tasks, since responsibilities change based on necessary projects and changing deadlines.

  • Ability to track all procurement and correspondence activity in the organization’s donor relationship management system, and the Master Workbook Excel spreadsheet.

Time Commitment:

  • 5-7 hours weekly

  • Attend bi-weekly planning meeting with gala chair
