Fill Easter Baskets for a family in need and spread happiness this season! First, you will choose a family and then fill Easter baskets for them with whatever you would like.
*****Once you sign up, we will send you the names and ages of the children as well as drop off instructions. ** Some ideas of what to include are: toys, games, personal care items, gift cards, packaged healthy snacks and traditional Easter candy. You will be choosing to fill baskets for all children in the same family. This way we can ensure that the baskets are filled similarly.

Once you enter the industrial complex, follow the signs for drop off.
If you need to drop off earlier, you can drop at the same location Tuesday - Friday 1:00-5:00pm, but all baskets must be received by April 8th at 12:00.

Families for Families helps families who have recently transitioned out of homeless shelters with programming that not only serves the basic material needs of struggling families, but focuses on creating lasting bonds between families, volunteers and donors. Families are provided basic needs of food, clothing, housewares and furniture as well as holiday programming, client coaching, and emergency and transitional funding with the goal of helping clients reach a point of self-sufficiency. This program benefits these families.

Mission Statement
We are families connecting families in an effort to improve the lives of those in need. Our goal is to provide clothing, housewares, furniture, food and necessities to local families in Bergen and Passaic County (New Jersey) homeless shelters and those who have recently moved to more permanent housing. Additionally, we host holiday activities where everyone can celebrate together and start to create lasting bonds between families, volunteers and donors.
Description
Families for Families was started in 2014 with an Adopt A Family for the Holidays program for a local homeless shelter. With tremendous community support, new programs and volunteers were added each year until we formally became a 501c3 in 2019. That year we formed one of our most impactful programs, Furnishing Great Starts, which provides families transitioning out of homeless shelters with donated furniture and housewares to help them make their new space a home. We have since added a Clothing Closet and Food Pantry and are in the process of creating a new jobs program. These are what we call our essential programs, but we also offer lifestyle programs in order to give a little fun and happiness to families who may be struggling. Some of these programs include our initial Adopt A Family for the Holiday, Halloween Trunk or Treat, Birthday Club, Family Picnic and our newest endeavor, a Mom's Day Out celebration for Mother's Day. These events not only provide a little fun for the families, but it gives our volunteers, donors and families to spend time together to create and enhance relationships with each other which we feel is the most important part of our programming. Feeling like you have someone in your corner can be empowering.
