Recruiting Organization: The Leo Project

Responsible for researching, identifying and applying for grants that align with the goals and objectives of the organization. Intern will work closely with the grant writing team/board of directors to ensure that all applications are completed in a timely and effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research to identify potential grant opportunities for the organization.
  • Analyze grant requirements and ensure that the organization meets all eligibility criteria.
  • Work with the grant writing team to develop proposals and grant applications.
  • Review grant applications and ensure that they are complete and accurate.
  • Manage the grant application process and follow up with grantors as necessary.
  • Track grant application deadlines and ensure that all applications are submitted on time.
  • Maintain accurate records of all grant-related activities and communicate regularly with the grant writing team

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of grant writing best practices and procedures.
  • Experience in grant writing or related fields is preferred, but not required.

Time Commitment:

This is a part-time, volunteer position with flexible hours. The volunteer is expected to commit at least 5 hours per week to this position.
