Are you a cat person or are you a dog person? Either way, we would love to have you as a volunteer at Bay Area Pet Adoptions! Bay Area Pet Adoptions is a nonprofit 501(c)3, NO KILL shelter, pet rescue, and adoption organization. Volunteers can be Cat Cuddlers in the cattery, part of the K9 Crew which helps socialize dogs to prepare them to be adopted, help with the community food pantry, foster pets, and so much more from marketing and fundraising to landscaping and office work.

If you would like some feline/canine company and to make a difference in a furry life, check out our website https://bayareapetadoptions.org/volunteering-at-our-adoption-facility/ and fill out an application!

Mission Statement

Bay Area Pet Adoptions/SPCA is a limited admission animal shelter whose primary mission is to find homes for the companion animals taken into our program, while providing them with necessary medical care and socialization skills until adoption. Our adoption fees include the cost to vaccinate, spay/neuter and microchip the animal.

Additionally, we are dedicated to developing and adopting progressive plans and programs for our animals and the communities we serve. All of our programs are designed for public education and the promotion of companion animal adoptions.

Bay Area Pet Adoptions/SPCA is dedicated to the animals we accept into our program. We have been serving the Houston/Galveston Bay Area since 1967, founded as SPCA of Galveston County.

Our shelter relies on donations and minimal shelter earnings to house, feed, and provide medical care to the animals at our facility.

We do not receive any government funding. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

We'll work with your schedule.
