Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and highly motivated individual with experience as a doctor in natural medicine who would like to volunteer as a researcher. A background in post-graduate education is required. A background or familiarization in Oriental/Asian culture is recommended.

The researcher will be based in the Department of Medical Research at Chii Foundation. The researcher will work directly with Dr. Abraham Kim on funded research. This research focuses on natural health approach to medicine in special communities.

The researcher will be responsible for research activities such as developing analysis proposals, conducting data analysis, presenting at scientific meetings, and writing manuscripts. There will also be opportunities to develop new projects including through grant writing. Applicants should have the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. The length of the volunteering commitment will be a minimum of one year and may be renewed thereafter.

Key Responsibilities/Duties - What You Will Be Doing

• Refines analytic plans for research papers. This involves creating detailed analysis plans, timelines, and meeting with faculty and staff collaborators.
• Works with study team and statistician to develop plans for and conduct data analyses.
• Writes reports detailing research findings as needed for funders and for internal reporting such as to the IRB.

Qualifications - What You Need To Perform The Job

• Doctoral degree, such as an acupuncture, herbal medicine, and naturopathy.
• A background in post-graduate education is required.
• A background or familiarization in Oriental/Asian culture is recommended.
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work within budgets.
