Suicide. Abuse. Gun Violence. Addiction. Truancy. Bullying. Incarceration. These are only some of the leading causes of mental health issues that youth and families struggle with every day. These issues contribute to a lack of self worth and generational cycles of poverty.
CreatiVision lives up to its name by helping youth address the at-risk behaviors that leads to mental health issues, generational cycles of poverty, and incarceration. Youth are matched with a volunteer Direct Support Professional to find out why and what triggers at-risk behaviors and then helps them create a sustainable plan to prevent, reduce, or eliminate those behaviors.
As a volunteer DSP, you can bring your creative energy to help guide and develop youth in becoming better versions of themselves. Do you like to fish, archery, play music, games, or any hobbies or activities that you do daily that you can share with youth? The activities are the hook to being the kids to the table and begin creating conversations. You will build lasting relationships with youth that lack carting adults in their lives. They need guidance and companionship from positive role models. It takes a village to raise a child.
Our DSPs come from a variety of backgrounds. Many of them provide social emotional support, coaching sports, and are career development mentors.

Description
CreatiVision is the first step for youth and family development. Youth and families meet with direct support professionals to prevent, reduce, or eliminate at risk behaviors that leads to mental and behavioral health issues, generational cycles of poverty, and incarceration.
The Playground is an incentive for youth and families that reach benchmarks in the CreatiVision Program. The Playground is an after school and weekend day camp that provides support for youth and families to promote family reunification through blended recreational and life skill activities.
The Path Career Development Program is designed to help employable aged youth create a plan to obtain a career where their true gifts and talents will shine before they graduate from high school. Youth are provided opportunities to obtain a career mentor, job shadow, and or intern with employers so they can understand the work environment before they invest in college, military, or trade school.
