Spay/Neuter Transport Volunteer

ORGANIZATION: F I D O INC

Friends of Indianapolis Dogs Outside provides spay/neuter services for our clients to help with dog overpopulation in the Indianapolis area. Our Sunday transports involve picking up the dogs from their homes and taking them to FACE, to set up for spending the night there and having surgery on Monday. Our Monday transports involve taking the animals to their homes from FACE.

This volunteer opportunity does involve interacting with animals, as well as some heavy lifting. Please ensure you are comfortable and able to do this! Description

FIDO stands for Friends of Indianapolis Dogs Outside. We are a non-profit group that works in low-income neighborhoods of Indianapolis. Our focus is finding and helping dogs living isolated on the end of a chain. We help people transition dogs inside the home to be part of the family. We also build large, secure enclosures to free dogs from the end of a chain and have a monthly pet food pantry. We consist of FIDO staff, contractors and 60+ volunteers.
