Mission Statement

Our mission is to source local, organic produce and offset our carbon footprint through tree planting and other carbon sequestration projects. We strive to educate others about a compassionate, plant-based lifestyle to protect the environment. We serve the community by providing vegan, gluten-free food that supports local agriculture and helps improve our environment.

Description

Our current initiatives: Donating to farm animal sanctuaries to continue their rescue efforts and educating the public about living a vegan lifestyle that supports the environment and how personal dietary choices contribute to global warming. Supporting local farmers to source our produce and ingredients that can be grown locally, and for those products that must come from farther away, to support organic farming practices. Purchasing carbon offsets from existing or new projects that sequester carbon, complete local carbon emission offset projects that plant trees or other plants that capture carbon dioxide through their natural growing conditions. Reducing the burning of fossil fuels used to produce electricity by supporting alternative energy electricity generation. Achieving our goal of being completely carbon neutral, or ideally, carbon negative, including all processes from growing and harvesting foods, packaging and transportation of foods to Solar Harvests, operations of the restaurant and all aspects of Solar Harvests, and delivery of food to the customers, as well as the disposal or composting of any wastes in any of the processes.
