Are you a soccer fan who also loves supporting literacy for kids? Since 2008, a volunteer reads Pele, The King of Soccer book to our group of 7 year olds each day. We support reading development strategies such as previewing, predicting, and more. You don't have to be a literacy expert. We provide a reading guide. You will also help transition them from soccer skills to reading skills, coloring and other literacy activities. Join our all-volunteer team of coaches who have delivered this camp since 2008!
How to submit your interest? Please address President & Founder, Rovel Stephen Sparkes in an email message describing your interest and expertise.
Please include a reference to information in our website that inspired you to volunteer with MYS.
