SCORE, a Volunteer Partner of the SBA with over 250 chapters and 10,000

volunteers across the country serving entrepreneurs and small businesses is looking for a Vice Chair for the Austin Chapter. The Austin Chapter is an award-winning SCORE Chapter comprised of over 80 volunteers.

Every SCORE chapter depends on a strong leadership team to support the needs of its volunteers as they help entrepreneurs achieve their dreams of small business ownership.

The Chapter Vice Chair will assist the Chapter’s Co-Chairs in all aspects of running the Chapter, focusing on mentor/chapter performance management, policy implementation, committee selection, and scheduling and establishing agendas for chapter and executive committee meetings. In addition, the Vice-Chair will receive training to move to a Chair position.

We have over 300 SCORE offices across the country and 10,000 volunteers offering free business mentoring and low- or no-cost workshops.

For over 50 years, SCORE's thousands of working and retired business professionals have volunteered to support the success of small business nationwide. SCORE business mentoring is free and confidential.

We provide:

  • Free, confidential business mentoring in person, via email or by video
  • Volunteer mentors who share their expertise across industries
  • Free business tools, templates and tips online
  • Inexpensive or free business workshops (locally) and webinars (online 24/7)
