Mentor a Special Olympics athlete in the counties of Lackawana, Susquehana, Wayne, Pike & Wyoming!

Special Olympics empowers athletes to become contributing and respected members of society. Through organized training and practical experiences, Special Olympics' Athlete Leadership program prepares athletes for meaningful positions of influence and leadership, both on and off the playing field. Mentors support athletes in their journey to become Athlete Leaders.

Mentors:

  • Provide Athlete Leaders with support, constructive feedback and encouragement.
  • Provide athletes with technology assistance
  • Inspire self-confidence, teamwork and good sportsmanship
  • Help prepare athletes to attend Athlete Leadership University
