Bristol Hospice- Sacramento is seeking compassionate volunteers in Placer County who can provide weekly companionship visits and respite care to our hospice patients and their families. Our volunteers are an integral part of our hospice team! Bristol Hospice-Sacramento, offers unique hospice services to meet the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of our patients/families. Hospice care is a coordinated team effort provided by care professionals that include: doctors, nurses, clergy, social workers, and volunteers. Volunteers provide support through companionship, emotional support, and respite care.
Volunteer Activities Include:
- Listening to the patient and family
- Assist with things that would help the patient relax (aromatherapy, reading favorite books, listening to music, play cards)
- Assist with light housekeeping
- Provide Caregiver Relief
