Volunteer at Camp Spero
ORGANIZATION: The Elizabeth Hospice
Please visit the new page to apply.

Camp Spero is a weekend bereavement camp for youth (ages 7 to 17) who are grieving the death of their significant person hosted by The Elizabeth Hospice. At camp, children and teens have the opportunity to honor and memorialize their loved one, meet peers, learn healthy coping skills, and have lots of fun.
We will be following CDC guidelines to maintain a safe, healthy camp environment for campers, volunteers, and staff. In accordance with agency protocols, volunteers are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19.
We are offering one session with two tracks concurrently - one for children and teens who have never attended a grief camp (Newcomer) and one for children and teens who previously attended our grief camp (Alumni).
Friday, July 28 - Sunday, July 30 Pine Valley, CA
Volunteer applications can be found on our website: https://elizabethhospice.org/grief-support/children/camp-spero/. Applications are due Monday, May 1.
New volunteers are required to attend both a New Volunteer Training on Saturday, May 20 and All Volunteer Training Saturday, July 15. Returning volunteers are required to attend All Volunteer Training Saturday, July 15.
We encourage you to invite those who might be interested in supporting our community’s children who are grieving to apply for a volunteer position at Camp Spero, as well. Please share the above application link with your friends and family.
