ORGANIZATION: Dance Project of Washington Heights

We are seeking a Volunteer Program Manager Assistant who will collaborate closely between the Executive Director, Program Managers within the organization to execute, oversee, assist, and manage projects throughout multiple areas of the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist and oversee various, ongoing projects, simultaneously by establishing and adhering to timelines, deadlines, intake processing, communications, and more
  • Help maintain project plans for each implementation; manage their execution while maintaining day-to-day knowledge of project status; track and communicate project status, issues, risks and decisions to involved parties.
  • Provide timely communication, updates, and pertinent information to the Executive Director and other Program Managers regarding ongoing projects

Volunteers have the option of working between 5-10 hours a week; depending on the need of the Program Director.

Volunteer will be trained in Asana, DSP, and learn about the office structure.

We are a community based dance program, providing affordable, high quality dance classes. Experienced and well trained teachers offer creative and fun classes for babies, toddlers, and children age 3-14, incorporating a variety of dance styles including ballet, modern, tap and hip hop techniques. We have a revolutionary pay-what-you-can policy so that we can welcome all families regardless of income level, and we actively try to be a community that includes families of all cultural and religious backgrounds.
