The Salvation Army is in need of group of 5-7 people who would be willing to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty.
We have 8 large planting beds that need the soil turned (done each year) and 20 apple trees that need pruned.
This can be done on any day other than Sunday. We just need to plan the date.
This is a rather time-sensitive project.
The trees yield fruit for us and the planting beds are used to teach the children in our after-school and summer programs about gardening and planting food.
If you have some time to give and a group looking for something to do for a few hours please reach out.
You can reach The Salvation Army through VolunteerMatch or by emailing John.Kasler@use.salvationarmy.org.
