ORGANIZATION: Campbell Historical Museum & Ainsley House

The Campbell Historical Museum has restarted our on-site field trip education program for 2nd and 3rd graders throughout Santa Clara Valley.
We are looking for volunteer help to be on-site during the field trips, greet the classes, work with teachers and chaperones, and ensure that the students have a fun and engaging field trip learning about the past and Santa Clare Valley's history.

The Field trip program runs Monday-Friday, 8:30am-12pm. Volunteers would work closely with the Museum Supervisor to provide onsite supervision, interpretation, and coordination.

About Campbell Historical Museum & Ainsley House

Location:

51 N. Central Ave, Campbell, CA 95008, US

Mission Statement

Interpret and preserve the history of the Campbell area from its early beginnings to today and to relate that history within the context of the Santa Clara Valley region.

Description

Located in downtown Historic Downtown Campbell, the Campbell Historical Museum is located in Campbell's first Fire Station. Changing exhibits about Home Life, Recreation, Work and Community provide insights into the daily life experiences of Campbell's past. Unique hands-on features at each exhibit will engage and intrigue. The Ainsley House was built in 1925 by John Colpitts Ainsley, a canning and agricultural pioneer. Its distinctive, wooden shingled roof resembling a thatch roof and its English Tudor design with Arts and Crafts influences make it a unique, Historic Home that helps us relive the 20's and 30's. Originally located on the corner of Bascom and Hamilton,

the house was moved in 1989 and re-opened in 1994 to the public
