We are seeking volunteers to help with our biggest cancer disparities conference of the year! This conference is designed to educate cancer care providers (oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, physician assistants, medical students etc.) about the latest developments in cancer care. For more information, check out the main conference page- 2023 Summit on Cancer Health Disparities: Reframing and addressing barriers to adoption of precision oncology

As a volunteer, you will meet with the top cancer care experts of their field and network with individuals working to make evidence-based cancer care affordable and accessible for all. If you also enjoy getting dressed up, Saturday is our annual gala to celebrate our supporters and sponsors!

At this conference, volunteers are needed at the registration table to greet and check-in attendees, manage our information booth, and help with display set-up and AV testing (great for entry level techies!). Volunteers who will be "runners" will go back and forth, helping the event planners or filling in where extra help is needed. On Sunday, volunteers will help with tear down, such as packing up banners and materials. Thursday, 4/27, the day before the conference, is when we need the most help!

If you contacted us regarding an opportunity and did not hear back, it is most likely your email server filtered our email reply. Please call Amanda or Meggan at 425-557-5953 if you do not hear back from us within four business days of signing up to volunteer.

Volunteer and make a difference today!

BTF focuses on reducing health disparities and promoting health equity in the United States and abroad. In the United States, BTF is focused on cancer education to reduce cancer care inequities. BTF offers continuing medical education programs to improve physician competence and performance, leading to improved patient outcomes.

The organization educates healthcare providers and community members, advocates for better access to care, and creates innovative program models and services that improve access to care. Through international partnerships and collaborations BTF has:

  • Supported establishment of the first and only bone marrow transplant center in Nepal at the Civil service Hospital In Kathmandu.

In 2018, the foundation opened the Binaytara Foundation Cancer Center (BTFCC) in Janakpur, Nepal. The 25-bed cancer hospital is the first and only cancer hospital in Province 2, a state with more than six million people. BTF has a goal to build the first phase of a new 200 bed hospital in Janakpur to serve patients in an area of 25 million people in Nepal and the neighboring Indian state of Bihar.
