Music has the power to comfort and soothe people, reducing stress, tension and anxiety. At the hospital, we’re always looking for ways to care for our staff and patients and live music has always been an important part of healing. If you are a musician or Music-thanatologist and have a portal, non-electronic instrument (harp and acoustic guitar work well) and want to share your gift with our hospital community, sign up to volunteer today!
Volunteer position can be hybrid, with some shifts in person and some virtual.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Daily identify units where stresses are high or patient/family care is acute
- Ensure quality music through the appropriate selections of songs and tuning of instruments

- must be able to commit to weekly or every other week shifts for 6 months. Shifts are flexible Monday-Friday. 7AM-5PM
