Serve as a Lead Volunteer for One Brick Boston

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: One Brick Boston

Join our team!

We’re looking for people to join our team as volunteer event managers, this will help us work towards increasing the number of volunteer events we have to offer back towards what we used to be able to do pre-pandemic.

This is a simple way to get more involved with One Brick and volunteering in our community, as well as to be part of a great team and to get to know other volunteers!

The tasks are really simple and a basic virtual training is provided.
Tasks include:

  • Attending at least One Brick volunteer event per 2 months to serve as a lead volunteer/event manager
  • Responding to RSVPs from volunteers
  • Sending out reminder emails to volunteers with volunteer event information, communicating with nonprofits to obtain information for events
  • Greeting volunteers at events and making sure everything goes smoothly, and take photos if possible.
  • Sending thank you emails to volunteers and providing brief feedback to the chapter leadership team
  • Participating in quarterly leadership team meetings and appreciation outings

Mission Statement

One Brick provides support to local non-profit and community organizations by creating a unique, social and flexible volunteer environment for those interested in making a concrete difference in the community. We enable people to get involved, have an impact and have fun, without the requirements of individual long-term commitments.

Description

Headquartered in San Francisco, California, One Brick is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that brings volunteers together to support other local non-profits by adopting an innovative twist to the volunteer experience: we create a friendly and social atmosphere around volunteering, and after each volunteer event -- which typically lasts only 3 to 4 hours -- we invite volunteers to gather at a local restaurant or caf where they can get to know one another in a relaxed social setting.

Our 'commitment-free volunteering' allows you to choose when you volunteer, rather than having to make commitments for a certain number of volunteer hours, or agree to be available every week at a specific time.
