Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village

Are you a history enthusiast and passionate about customer service? Then come join us at Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village for our Annual Maple Fest on March 25th, where you'll have the opportunity to celebrate the sweet taste of maple and the hardworking farmers who cultivate it. New York State has a long history of maple farming, and by volunteering with BNHV you will help us to keep that tradition alive by highlighting the skills and ingenuity that has long characterized the relationship between this land and its inhabitants.

This relationship is at the core of what Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village is all about. We are committed to illuminating the agricultural history of Western New York. In a time of climate crisis, we believe that now more than ever it is essential to understand how we relate to the earth past, present, and future.

From 1-4pm, our event will feature delicious maple-based baked goods, tea, maple tasting and grading, and a tour of the history of maple sugaring led by knowledgeable and friendly tour guides. In an event of this scale there are various roles that require volunteers. We need your help with:

  • Admissions
  • Tour Guides
  • Snow Candy Making
  • Maple Tasting
  • Tree Tapping
  • Grading
  • Retail
The shift is three hours, and you should arrive 15 minutes early for check-in, and all training will be provided as needed. So don't miss out on this sweet opportunity to make a difference and gain valuable experience. Sign up to volunteer today, meet new people, and help bring history to life.
