The Medical Team Hospice is seeking friendly and compassionate individuals to provide companionship and interaction with our patients. Our volunteers are indispensable key members of the Hospice care team. They share their time, talents and interests by providing comfort and support to our patients and their families. The Medical Team Hospice provides comprehensive training and orientation to prepare you and support you. If you can give at least 5 hours a MONTH, we'd love to hear from you!!

The role of a volunteer would be to spend quality time with our patients engaging them in conversation and/or activities. A volunteer and patient may do activities together such as: play cards, read books, listen to music, go for walks, paint nails, games, arts/crafts and other numerous leisure activities. Our patients enjoy music therapy, art, and pet therapy if available. Also, there are opportunities to help with the facilities' activities/events. Volunteers do not attend to personal care of our patients, so no skills in this area are needed.
