Our dog care volunteers are responsible for exercising and socializing our dogs as well as making sure their enclosures are clean so we can keep them healthy.

We ask that volunteers commit to one 2-hour shift per week. Shifts are 7 days a week from 8 AM - 10 AM or from 3 PM - 5 PM. Dog care volunteers must be 21 yrs or older.

The dog volunteer training program can seem lengthy but it is essential to making sure both our volunteers and our animals stay safe. Training takes approximately three sessions and you will learn about dog body language, the proper way to enter & exit the kennels, how to move through the kennel, how to leash the dogs up and so much more.
