Recruiting Organization: Maryland Office of the Attorney General

Do you like to help people? Do you live in the Baltimore or Prince George's County areas? Then come volunteer in the Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division.

Our volunteers provide an invaluable service to Maryland consumers. They respond to consumer inquiries on the telephone hotline, and mediate consumer complaints against businesses and health care providers. They settle disputes in sales, repairs, debt collection, defective products, false advertising, health clubs, housing, and medical bills. Volunteers receive training in mediation and learn valuable skills.

The Division's Mediation Unit is open weekdays between 9:00 and 4:00, and volunteers are asked to work 10 hours per week. The Baltimore office is located in a convenient downtown Baltimore location, near the Light Rail and Metro, museums, shops, restaurants and other attractions.
