Our school based programs place high school students and adults from the community, who have been carefully screened, with students facing adversity. The volunteer spends about an hour a week with a student one on one talking and helping with schoolwork. Our main focus for this program is developing a friendship and encouraging the child's success in life. We have programs in Red Bay, Russellville, Florence, Tuscumbia and Sheffield City Schools.

Mission Statement
Our VISION is that all youth achieve their full potential. Our MISSION is to create and support one to one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.
Description
We match children ages 5-15 with adult mentors in our Community Based program who spend 4 to 10 hours a month together doing fun activities that both the volunteer and child agree upon and enjoy! In our school based programs, volunteers meet the child at their school once a week to help with homework, play a game, be a friend or just talk. Our eMentoring platform connects Bigs with their Little virtually.
