AccentCare needs friendly volunteers to visit our patients at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

AccentCare Hospice Friendly Visitors are an integral part of the hospice team. They have the opportunity to make a profound difference in the quality of life for individuals who are facing a terminal illness.

Friendly Visitors or Direct Patient Care Volunteers enrich the lives of our patients by providing emotional support and companionship for the patient and their families within our inpatient unit. Volunteers can help in various ways through compassionate listening, reading, listening to music, making crafts, helping patients make a legacy project, watching movies, and more. Volunteers also help bring comfort to the family by being an understanding presence.

Since Friendly Visitors have direct patient contact will need to complete AccentCare volunteer training and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center volunteer training, have valid identification, successfully pass a background check, and complete a TB Test. Background checks and TB Tests are paid for by Accentcare. Volunteers need to be 18 years or older.
