ORGANIZATION: 5-Eleven Hoops



QUICK OVERVIEW

5-Eleven Hoops are seeking volunteer basketball coaches and operations staff for basketball classes every 2nd and 3rd Saturday of the month in Long Beach at The Branch for youth and adults on the Autism Spectrum and other intellectual/physical differences.

IMPACT

5-Eleven Hoops's mission to provide safe, inclusive spaces for youth with autism to play, socialize, engage in physical activity, and learn all the benefits of engaging in sports.

VOLUNTEER ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations

Administer name tags to participants

Sign in parents and staff

Hand out surveys to parents

Record class on 5-Eleven Hoops device (iPhone or iPad). Record for Instagram Live and Facebook Live. Engage on social media.

Coaching

Assist in activity instructions

Demonstrate each activity to give visuals to participants

Assist with equipment set up for classes

Track data on athletes
