Recruiting Organization: Food on Foot

This FUN and dynamic opportunity only requires a few hours a month and makes a great impact on our organization. We are really excited to have volunteers and enjoy engaging them in the organization.

Shifts: Tuesdays, flexible between 11:00am - 4:00pm

Reports To: VP of Development, Alice Gordon

Position Objective: Working with Food on Foot’s small but mighty development team, volunteers can support the pillars of fundraising through clerical and outreach tasks to meet the growing needs of the department.

Position Description: Through development support, you will assist with the following:

• Hand address envelopes for weekly/bi-weekly letter mailing
• Basic research and data entry
• Scanning and uploading documents online
• Outreach by sending emails and making phone calls to potential donors and businesses.

Position Requirements:

• Ability to use basic office equipment such as a computer, scanner, phone, and other small equipment used in this environment.
• Basic computer literacy skills such as data entry into spreadsheets, digital letter writing, typing, etc.
• Decent penmanship (for handwritten envelopes for mailings)
• Enjoy the camaraderie of working with a lively group of people with a common commitment to helping others.

Impact: Our volunteers add value to the organization by supporting the development operations, making it easier for the staff to focus on larger tasks that will yield more funding and help more people and our mission - to help people transition from homelessness to sustainable housing.
