The Board of Directors exists to secure and promote the financial, legal and ethical wellbeing of the organization and to ensure that it fulfills its mission. Each of the members of the Board of Directors of Valley Fund Corporation have a duty of care to always work in the best interests of the organization, a duty of loyalty to put the good of the organization first and avoid any conflicts of interest and a duty of obedience to be faithful to the central goals of the organization and follow its governing documents, and to ensure that operations are maintained in a legal and ethical way.

Valley Fund Corporation is a "supporting organization" under IRS rules, and exists to support the San Gabriel Valley Training Center Residential Facility. it manages the financial and real assets that are utilized for the benefit of the Residential Facility, that provides permanent housing to 38 persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD). The residential board also supports its companion organization, The Roland Center, which is adjacent and offers job and vocational training, structured day programs, respite care and a variety of other services for individuals with I/DD and their families.

As a supporting organization, the board is in need of members who have time and motivation to serve the governance function of the organization. Individuals with financial management, investment, financial planning, coupled with a personal or professional knowledge of services needed by individuals with I/DD are encouraged to apply.

VALLEY FUND CORPORATION'S MISSION IS TO CARE FOR THE NEEDS OF DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED ADULTS. WE DO THIS IN TWO WAYS: (1) WE HAVE TWO SHELTERED WORKSHOPS THAT EMPLOY AND PROVIDE WORK OPPORTUNITIES FOR UP TO 500 DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED ADULTS AND (2) WE PROVIDE A FACILITY THAT PROVIDES 24-HOUR-A-DAY CARE FOR UP TO 38 DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED ADULTS. EACH OF THE SUPPORTED ACTIVITIES IS ITS OWN NONPROFIT CORPORATION. VALLEY FUND CORPORATION IS THE SUPPORTING ORGANIZATION, THAT MANAGES A PORTFOLIO OF INVESTMENTS ACCUMULATED OVER 60 YEARS TO SUPPORT PROGRAMS. VALLEY FUND CORPORATION ALSO OWNS THE REAL ESTATE USED BY THE SUPPORTED CORPORATIONS.
