Hi there!
We have an opportunity for you to connect and engage with community members at a local food Co-op in either Minnetonka, Richfield, or Chanhassen!
You pick the day and one of the 3 locations (Minnetonka, Richfield, Chanhassen):
- Sun. 4/16 any time between 11 am and 3 pm.
- Tues. 4/18 any time between 2 pm and 6 pm.
- Fri. 4/21 any time between 3 pm and 7 pm.
- Sat. 4/22 (Earth Day!) any time between noon and 4 pm
We are seeking 1 or 2 individuals who are willing to staff a Neighborhood Forest table at a local food co-op in these communities. We will have a table with promotional materials that will be set up inside the co-op to encourage community shoppers to learn more about Neighborhood Forest and sign up for a free tree.
Essentially it will go something like this:
Shopper:"Hey what's Neighborhood Forest all about?"
You: "Hi we're a local non-profit that give free frees to kids - every Earth Day! We're partnering with the Co-op to give free trees in the co-op community and to children in our program. Would you like to sign up for a free tree?"
Shopper: "Heck yeah!"
You: "Great! Here's the info...you can sign up for a free tree online in less than 2 minutes!"
Shopper: "Fabulous!"
We will connect with you for about an hour or so to equip you with our story, more background, and answer any questions. You will also have some awesome visuals at the table that you can encourage people to look at!
This will be a fun, easy going, engaging opportunity!

Mission Statement
We love trees! We want to give every child the priceless joy of planting and watching trees grow. By doing so, we will beautify our neighborhoods, put a significant dent in our carbon footprint, and help instill in the hearts of our little ones a sense of magic, wonder, and love for our planet.
Description
Neighborhood Forest was founded in 2010 by Vikas Narula. What started with 4 schools in Minneapolis has grown to over 900 schools, libraries, and youth groups in 48 states across America and Canada. Our goal is to reach every child in North America and, eventually, the world.
What we do - We give free trees to kids every Earth Day. Last year we gave away 40,000 trees!
How does it work?
Schools, libraries, and youth groups enroll in our program. Parents sign-up to get a free tree for their child ahead of Earth Day. Trees for kids are distributed, via the school, library, or youth group to plant with their family during Earth Week (April 22-30).
Why do we do it - Because we love trees, planet, kids and community!
