Gateway Arch Park Foundation (GAPF) is seeking a passionate, detail-oriented volunteer who loves organizing and filing.
File Digitization Project Volunteers support Gateway Arch Park Foundation (GAPF) through scanning, naming, and digitally organizing files from a backlog of documents in our Development Department. GAPF will provide volunteers with a workspace, project guide, computer, scanner, email, and any other materials and instruction needed to fulfil the project.
The purpose of this project is to certify backlogged documents can be accessed and entered into our donor database to ensure record keeping best practices.
All volunteers considered for this position will need to submit to a background check and three references.
Roles and Responsibilities:
18 or older (younger applicants with parental/guardian approval may be considered). As representatives of Gateway Arch Park Foundation, volunteers must adhere to the policies, procedures, and code of conduct as outlined in the volunteer handbook provided prior to or during training.
Required Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:
Experience with computers, scanning, naming, and organizing digital files
Enthusiasm, friendliness, and a positive attitude
Respect for confidentiality of the Gateway Arch Park Foundation’s volunteers, partners, members, and donors
Willingness to take initiative, and voice ideas
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time while scanning and organizing files
Commitment:
This is an ongoing project that requires 8-10 hours a week. A schedule will be determined between the volunteer and supervisor.
Location:
Gateway Arch Park Foundation’s office is located at 1 S. Memorial Drive, Suite 700. Gateway Arch National Park is located directly across the street. Parking for volunteers is at the Kiener West Garage located at 604 Pine St.
Training and Supervision:
Training will be conducted by volunteer supervisors on the first day of the volunteer’s shift and will vary depending on the position, supervisor, and personal learning styles.
