B.O.N.E.S. Grant Writer

Job Description

The grant writer will research funding opportunities with the support of B.O.N.E.S. operations managers
and write grant proposals to support B.O.N.E.S. programs as needed.

Responsibilities:

Research potential grant opportunities t o support B .O.N.E.S. financial needs
Determine requirement and deadline viability
Research and obtain information (e.g., statistics, historical data, program and organization
structure, etc. ) from B.O.N.E.S. operations managers needed for the proposal
Draft proposal and supporting documents
Review draft with B .O.N.E.S. Board of Directors
Meet grant submittal requirements and deadline
Maintain records of grant proposal submissions.

Required Qualifications :

Has p roven ex perience in grant writing with knowledge of proposal submission
Ab le to study and understand B.O.N.E.S. programs and funding requirements
Has s trong research skills and knowledge of information sources
Can m ultitask with organizational and time managemen t skills
Ab le to handle confidential matters with utmost integrity
Possesses a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Displays a high level of professionalism and strong interpersonal skills
Possesses strong written and oral communication skills
M aintain s accurate records
Is detail - oriented, self - motivated and complete s tasks in a timely fashion
Supports the mission and work of B.O.N.E.S.
Must be a current B.O.N.E.S. volunteer (may reside outside the New England area).

Preferred Qualifications:

Has g rant writing experience for non - profit organizations
Holds g rant writing certificate or comparable coursework
