Job Overview: Our ministry does self-publishing of our books and manuals . We are seeking a talented Book Cover Designer to create visually stunning and compelling book covers for our clients. The successful candidate will work closely with authors and our editorial team to conceptualize and design book covers that capture the essence of the story and appeal to the target audience. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and has a strong portfolio of book cover designs.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with authors and editorial team to understand the story, themes, and target audience of each book
• Conceptualize and design book covers that effectively communicate the book's content and appeal to the target audience
• Use typography, color, and imagery to create visually striking and memorable book covers
• Create multiple design options and work with the author and editorial team to refine the chosen design
• Ensure that book covers are consistent with industry standards and meet all formatting requirements
• Stay up-to-date with design trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in book cover design
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
• Collaborate with other designers and departments to ensure cohesive branding and messaging across all publications

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 Year of experience in book cover design
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and InDesign
• Strong design portfolio that demonstrates an understanding of typography, color, and composition
• Knowledge of book cover design best practices and industry standards, specifically Kindle Direct Publishing Standards
• Ability to work collaboratively with authors, editors, and other departments to meet project objectives
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain design concepts and decisions
