Job Overview: Our Ministry is seeking an experienced Grant Writer to research and write grant proposals for our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying potential funding sources, developing grant proposals, and submitting timely and accurate grant applications. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has excellent research and writing skills, and is familiar with fundraising and grant-writing best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct research to identify potential grant funding sources that align with our ministry's mission and programs
• Develop and write grant proposals and applications that effectively communicate our ministry's objectives, programs, and outcomes to potential funders
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather data and information necessary for grant proposals, including program descriptions, budgets, and outcomes
• Ensure grant proposals are submitted in a timely manner and meet all grant requirements and guidelines
• Maintain a grants calendar to track grant deadlines, submissions, and outcomes
• Build and maintain relationships with grant funders and program officers
• Provide regular updates to ministry leadership on grant submissions, awards, and outcomes
• Maintain knowledge of grant opportunities and trends in the non-profit sector

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in grant writing, preferably in a non-profit or ministry setting
• Strong research and writing skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely
• Familiarity with fundraising best practices and grant application processes
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple grant proposals and deadlines
• Detail-oriented with a strong attention to accuracy and completeness
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with funders and program officers
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and online research tools
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal teams
