"Skating Through It" is a social gathering for preteens and teens between the ages of 9-17 years of age. The goal for this event is to provide a safe place to enjoy skating to develop not only confidence boosting physical skills, but also to meet new friends and develop a sense of community and culture among other skaters while simultaneously raising money for a great cause. As a token of our love, we would also be giving each participant a gift bag of goodies.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to devote to fostering the healthy development of youth, families and communities through the provision of effective, culturally relevant and developmental services by providing personalized care and evidence-based educational services and resources for nontraditional and traditional learners in collaboration with families and the public to bring forth significance and purpose. Using the resources of volunteers, counselors, community activities, and active involvement we will strive to provide the tools necessary to become more dependent while also obtaining self-reliance within. With this in mind, we will provide in return the support of a more stable, and stronger economy while also creating leaders of our future.
Description
Founded in 2008 in Atlanta, Georgia, ATL Girlz, Inc. is a multi-service, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that is dedicated to providing assistance to teens and adolescence by providing resources and knowledge needed to gain a better understanding of how to excel and survive in the world around them. We seek to provide a comprehensive cadre of services specifically for those that are underserved and underprivileged, not excluding runaway, homeless, street youth and other youth at risk of family separation.
