Mission: To conserve California native plants and their natural habitats, and increase understanding, appreciation, and horticultural use of native plants.

Description: California Native Plant Society’s Yerba Buena chapter needs a volunteer who can help express our passion for protecting our natural history, educating the public and preserving biodiversity in San Francisco and Northern San Mateo Counties.

Duties Include: Help drive engagement with the public by publicizing our field trips, speaker programs, conservation advocacy issues, plant sales and garden tours across social media channels and local event calendars.

Hours: 10 per month

Skills:

Can write persuasively and boil complex issues down to a single sentence.

Collaborates well with others get information and share chapter news.

Understands our local audience and brings them relevant content on a regular basis.

Wants to make the world a more biodiverse place.
