Hearts and Minds -- Opportunity to Give

There are many different ways to volunteer. You can choose to work directly with out patients and families or lend your time and talents in other important areas:

Administrative: Organzing files, answering phones and providing general office assistance for staff as needed.

Bereavement: Making follow up telephone calls to offer grief support opportunities to family members.

Community Outreach: Attending health fairs, speaking at events and educating the public about hospice care.

Direct Patient Involvement: Providing support and companionship, reading to patients, helping to write a life journal, assisting patients with hobbies, relieving family members and firends, sharing experiences, being present and helping wherever there is a need.

Crafting: Creating a variety of handmade gifts such as Memory Bears and cards for patients for various occasions such as birhtdays, holidays, thinking of you...

Professional: Certified accountants, lawyers, photographers, massage therapists, pet therapists, hairtylists, musicians and others can offer their much-needed services.

The mission of the Kindred at Home family of hospice care providers is to honor life and offer compassion to individuals and their families when facing a life-limiting illness. We are committed to clinical excellence with dignity when life matters most. Hospice care helps patients and families make the most of the days that remain. Our care teams specialize in pain and symptom management, as well as emotional and spiritual support for the patient and family. An individualized plan of care is developed for each patient based on comfort care measures needed and the wishes of the patient and family.
