River Patrol Volunteer on the Tuolumne River

The U.S. Forest Service is seeking a motivated individual to assist us with promoting river safety and cleanliness on the Tuolumne River in the Groveland District of the Stanislaus National Forest.
The ideal river patrol volunteer is a person who lives locally to the Tuolumne County area and has availability to shuttle rafting groups 2-3 days a week throughout the season. Additionally, this position will be involved in a dynamic river program featuring class 4 whitewater rapids, riparian restoration projects, motorboat operation, and working with supportive folks who want to help you meet your goals. Candidate should be capable of doing manual labor including lifting rafts to load and unload raft trailer. Preferably looking for someone who is willing and able to obtain a government license for trailering. Schedule is variable.
