The main duties of this position include maintaining the stage operation, caring for horses, and visitor assistance.


Wawona is the southern most district in Yosemite National Park and is visited by people from all over the world. This district is known for the Mariposa Grove, as well as the Yosemite History Center, which has several historic buildings and offers stage rides 4-5 days per week. This position directly supports the stage program, offering visitors the opportunity to experience what stage travel was like. If you enjoy being around horses and have a passion for history, this is the position for you! Major Duties: · Raking and dust control of corral areas · Stage horse set up and take down, including safety checks · Assist visitors in getting on and off the stage · Horse care, including brushing and feeding Minor Duties: · Provide the public with up-to-date, accurate park information in a calm, patient and polite manner · Perform other duties as assigned.
