We are looking for a passionate group of volunteers for the following;
- Setup Squad
- Times needed: 7:00am - 9:00am
- Help staff setup the event, physical activity and heavy lifting required.
- Teardown Troopers
- Times needed: 12:00pm - 1:00pm (approximately)
- Help pack up after the event, physical activity and heavy lifting required.
- Welcome Warrior
- Times needed: 8:00am - 11:00am
- Welcome participants as they arrive on site. Volunteers at this tent will also be available to answer any general event questions and help direct them to tents as needed.
- If needed parking guides to direct traffic.
- Start/Finish Line Host
- Pass out water and cheer on the walkers with pom-poms and cowbells.
- Route Marshall
- Times needed: 8:30am - 12:30pm
- Direct walkers to turn at the turns. Pass out water and cheer on the walkers with pom-poms and cowbells. Write motivational messages along the route with chalk.
- Meet Me at the Photo Booth
- Times needed: 8:15am - 11:00am
- Help direct walkers to the photo area and assist teams with their group photo.
- Tent Host
- Times needed: 8:00am - 11:00am
- Help provide assistance to sponsored tent/activity area.
- This includes the Bark Park area.
**Volunteers can serve multiple roles based on the times desired
The Southern New England Heart Walk is a premier event set to raise awareness and money for research and medical breakthroughs surrounding heart disease and stroke. Everyone is tied to heart disease and stroke in some way, and we must take steps to change that. The Heart Walk allows teams and individuals to walk to make a difference in people's lives.
